Record Mirror 1955-1962

Record Mirror ran their own chart for seven years and this volume includes every single record to make that chart – now updated with a brand new edition to also include two charts, one never researched before!

This book has the important information you always wanted to see for each charted record:-

  • B-Side
  • Full Composer Credits
  • Song Duration
  • Every Re-entry shown with entry date, peak and weeks

Together with the usual information such as entry date, label and catalogue number.

And in this volume we also show every single weekly chart! For the first time in one volume!!

But what else makes this re-issue so special?

Record Mirror compiled a Best Selling Records By British Artists Chart from 1955 to 1961, and each and every published Top 10 is presented. Of particular interest to Lonnie Donegan fans here as Rock Island Line charts exceptionally high on the chart!

Record Mirror, as is now well known, compiled the first LP chart in 1956. From 1958 the Melody Maker then Record Retailer album charts are used, in the official record of UK Album history, but Record Mirror continued to compile their own Album chart, never before researched, to March 1962 when they stopped compiling their own charts.

Both of these, together with a fully revised and updated Singles listing, are included in this new volume

Don’t miss adding this much sought after chart collection to your archive.
